The pic below is of Parasound HCA1500A 2x200 WPC amp. Above power cord socket right bottom area is the fuse and above the fuse is a 12V trigger. From the pic I see a couple of screws.
My question is: How do I connect to my B&K amp if I want to daisy chain the 2 amps to turn on? The B&K has RCA type connectors. Thanks.

The twelve volt trigger is for a twelve volt INPUT on the parasound. It DOES NOT OUTPUT a twelve volt trigger signal. You would need to have that signal come from your pre/pro.Or a system controller like Crestron.Example-I am using the twelve volt trigger output on my Parasound AVC-2500 pre/pro to turn on my Monster Power HTS-2500 MKII power center. All of my amps are plugged into switched outlets on it.So when i turn the preamp on,it sends the twelve volt output signal to the power center and it turns on.It in turn, turns on all of my amps.
Hope this helps!

Honest,
Thanks for your reply. I know what you mean. My B& K has in and out 12V trigger with RCA type connector. The Parasound has 2 screws. I guess I have to get a cable with one RCA end connector (out from B&K amp) and the other end of cable would be 2 bear wires (Parasound amp in 12v trigger). Is this right? As there is no particular connection plug on Parasound amp just 2 screws.

Does the Denon have a twelve volt trigger output? If so does it have more than one?Can you put up a pic of the back of the Denon and the B&K?

Yes, I know can be done either way from Denon or B&K, but I run into the same problem......................one end of the cable mini-plug from Denon, or RCA from B&K, but what about the other end of cable going to Parasound. Two bear wires? I don't get it! Most amps have for 12V trigger either mini-plug or RCA, but never seen screws like the Parasound?
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Can you cut the B&K RCA cord so you can hook up the two under the same screw terminals? Two under each terminal think like cable in / cable out.

Actually it does serve as a 12V relay, hence the external outputs. The 12V relay is 4 gang, ala monoblock configuration.
If you're using said configuration, with a pre-amp trigger, to trigger your surge protection...aren't you defeating the purpose of surge protection? The Monster unit should be the trigger, or deciding unit for turn on...otherwise you defeat the purpose.

The preamp is plugged into an unswitched outlet on the back of the Monster. It along with the entire stereo is plugged into the Monster,so it is all protected.

Actually to be honest with you i have ONLY seen twelve volt triggers in the form of 1/8 mini plug or the screw terminals.I have no recollection of EVER having seen a twelve volt trigger in the form of an RCA jack.

I guess cutting one end of the 12V trigger cable is the only way to go.

Ok, just wondering.
