What is it about the design and manufacture of a driver that makes it "high quality?"

I'm asking for two important reason:

1. I really want to know; and

2. I'm trying to get my post count up to 3,000 before the end of the night.:p

Well, I think a well designed, high quality driver involves two things:

1) Parents must educate their children/teenagers on how to multitask.

2) Children/teenagers must be willing to be a little forgiving of parental involvement when it comes to actual driver education.

If this isn't what you want, then you are beyond help ;)

Concerning driver functionality, the best design will yield the most accurate sonic reproduction with the least distortion. A high quality driver (speaker) should do this.

Let me be more specific -- from a technical perspective, what is it about a "high quality" driver that makes it better than most others? Is it the material used (paper vs. kevlar vs. aluminum, etc.), the magnet, the voice coil, etc.?? Or is the design more significant than the materials used to build it? Or is the crossover (its design and component quality) more important than the driver?

Powerful motor.
Massive, nonresonant basket.
Top quality materials.
