Hey, adampoity. I have the db212-2. I use a kenwood amp from crutchfield.com that delivers 850 watts @ 2 ohms. The amp over powers them, but so far the subs have taken it. Crutchfield.com also has a kicker amp that will give the subs the perfect wattage (750 @ 2 ohms).

If I had the extra $200 I would have gone with the kicker amp since it is a lot safer for the subs.

from what i've seen its got nothing but good reviews. i have 2 db 12s in my car, wouldve possibly considered the db212-2 if i could fit the box in my camaro.
you'd be better off getting an amp that will overpower the subs and keeping the gain low. get the same power and less strain on the amp.

Thats what I have to do to my amp. gains are set to 1, which is between 1/2 and 3/4 of the way up.

go for the kenwood amp works with no problems even though its over its peak. its better go go over than under the RMS and its on sale for 200
