So I finally get the sub into place and Im disappointed...............that I didnt buy one of these earlier. I just installed my SVS PB12/Plus 2 minutes ago and I can tell you this thing rocks. The deep bass and the punch is accurate. Im running it at 1/4 the gain on the amp, and it just rocks. My walls are shaking throughout the house here. I havent even gotten it up to reference level yet. If you have the 1199 in your budget go for it.

Im still waiting on my Rti12s and two outlaw M2200's to get here in Japan after that I will complete the install and go from there. I have the CSi5 and FXi3, monster 3500 power conditioner, so Im ready to rock the place. SVS/Polk all the way guys. :D :D :D :D

Congrats on the new SVS sub. The Plus two is a monster. Did you get the "new" Plus woofers? I think they are 12.3's?

all the new doggs are supposed to come with the new 12.3's, so i'm assuming he/she got them. so for now i'm assuming also that yours sounds better than mine. (until i finally get my 12.3's shipped, hopefully very soon!)

The neighbors here dont bother me, I live in an area where most of the neighbors are American and military personnel. Im an electronic engineer working on a contract with the military guys, so needless to say Im a civilian.

I was fortunate enough to get into an American style house, and its huge compared to the smaller places that the japanese live in. and from looking at the sub it does have the new 12.3 drivers in it.

tonyb you mentioned a dvd player upgrade, what would I upgrade to? Any recommendations and keep it sony please.

if your on a budget (after kerplunking 12 benjamins on a sub :D), an Oppo dvd player (actually a universal plaver, dvd audio, sacd, hdcd, etc) does a damn good job for 150.00 I bought it to use to wait of the HDDVD/blue ray wars. great player all around, and sounds surprisingly good for redbook cd playback.

WOW!!!! you had me going there for a minute. If that monster didn't impress you I don't know what will. Congrats & enjoy. Question? why only sony dvd player? If you're running DVI or HDMI you owe it to yourself to check out the OPPO players. I have the 970 running into my SONY 50" LCD - picture quality is stunning!!!

I ordered the Toshiba A1 HD DVD player, I hear its upconversion is outstanding on SDVD as well.
