12 ' momo repair

Hello,
I recently bought a used 12" momo. I repaired the wire from the cone to the terminal. Installed into a '85 Fleetwood, powered by a 600 Watt Pheonix gold. The sub thumped for about 15 min then the volume went down and started to smoke. Now the sub krackles. The place I bought it from told me that the sub was servicable. Is this true and can it be replaced or is it trashed.

Return the blown subwoofer to our service department for exchange. The address is Polk Audio 2550 Britannia Boulevard Suite A San Diego, CA. 92154. Include a short note with your name, address, daytime telephone number, description of the problem, along with a copy of your receipt. We recommend shipping it using UPS or FedEx.
