Very fun looking toy, it is on sale at Hi Fi Concepts for $749. My only question is hookup, how would you hook up all the channels, can't seem to find any info on that end of the game.......

I am and this is soooo not needed. Talk about a way go **** up your sound system.

WOW! Talk about over priced, even if the flagship was $995, it would be a waste.

EQ's and HT do not mix.

Peace Out~:D

EQ's and HT do not mix.

Agree. If you have good electronics you shouldn't need an EQ? But hey, some equipment may need one, maybe some rooms may as well? Looks like overkill to me?

From what I've read if there are some room acoustic problems that can't be overcome... then an equalizer might help.

This link shows how too equalize. Its pretty interesting read... but need some high end test equipment which I don't have. The rane site has some really cool lit on this subject.

If you have room acoustic problems, try to tame them before you add an EQ, even then get yourself a BFE-Behringer Feedback Destoryer (http://www.wcsound.com/PA_Gear/Processing/Behringer_Home/Behringer_EQ/Behringer_Feedback_Destroyer/behringer_feedback_destroyer.html) first.

EQ's, IMO are nothing but trouble and distort the origional intention of the sound mix design.

Perversion, nothing more.

Exactly Troy, exactly. A perversion of nature, indeed.

Ron-P, how does that unit integrate into the HT system?

Between your receiver/pre-amp and amps. Unless there are line-level connections on the back (which I highly doubt), it will all be done with interconnects.

I guess it really boils down to whether or not you will find the sonic benefit of customizing the EQ to your tastes/room BETTER than the sonic degredation of sending your signals through some $.19 resistors in the EQ......

I can see the purpose it is intended to serve, but don't think its a worth-while addition to your home theater...

BTW, if you did want to use an EQ for bass taloring (usually the only issue that nees to be addressed if it even exists), you can bag good 1/3 and 1/2 octave EQ's for under 2 franklins used.....

Cheers,
Russ

Why Cinemas are using EQ's?
Do you think they have a cheap equipment?
...well, I don't know, its up to you to research...

Here's a link that might interest you reading some other people quote about this EQ stuff...
