Check it out under 10 days of deals. Also has $30 rebate. Is this a really good deal or am I missing something?

This is the one with the rechargable battery right. If it is, pick one up now. I got the one below it where it used 4 AAA batteries and I used to have to change prolly once a month (I don 't use it anymore for that reason alone). Thank god I got that for free...

For those of you that like to dial by feel, this one may not be the best deal out there for you. You can feel your way around the remote, but it's harder than on a 659 or the like.

I bought one and was going to replace the 659 with it in the main rig, but ended up keeping the 659 in there and using this one in the secondary system.

The battery recharge thing is cool, but those in my 659 last a couple months so it's not that big of a deal.

Man, I wish the 890 was on sale. I'm wanting something with IR so I can operate the system from my PC-which isn't quite in the line of sight with my components...

Got one for myself as well. I've installed several of these and enjoy it every time.

Matt, if you are looking for a good remote at a good price, then I would suggest you get this one. There are ways around the RF function you are needing. You won't be able to get a good RF remote for cheaper than this 880 and an IR repeater system.

Although this would prolong your rears for another couple weeks ;)

I'm trying to tag the AQ stuff on with another order this week.

If you don't end up liking the 880, I'm sure I can find a use for it.

Will the 880 work my Dish Network DVR including the FF/RR, 30 second commercial skip/backup? Will I be able to operate the H/K 635 OSD menus using the 880?

Also, what happens if you have a macro to watch TV (in my case, it's set to turn on the TV, receiver, & satelitte), but want to jump to watching a DVD movie (I'll need everything on but the satelitte, and then the DVD player has to turn on). Will it actually turn off the satelitte and turn on the DVD in this instance? Just how smart is this remote? ;)

I received the 880 today! It's a nice looking remote, but that is all I have to tell at the moment. It has to be charged before it's first use, so I won't be able to play with it until tomorrow I suppose. Anyone know how long it takes for the battery to charge the first time? The owners pamplet doesn't mention time for charging :(

Ok, I just noticed on my receipt I have $249 - $119 - $10 (paypal) = $120. How did you get the $30 rebate also? Was it a mail in rebate?

I don't remember. Anyway after a couple of hour it's gonna have enough charge to play with it ;) .

After a few nights of programming and tinkering with the 880, I have it setup. It controlled most of the commands on my DN PVR 508, and I added 6 custom label buttons. I also tweaked the time delay on each component, and probably have a little more adjusting to do. The real test came when my wife sit down to use it and it passed her approval with flying colors! All she asked for was a few additional Disney favorite channels programmed and she's happy. Overall, this seems to be a great investment.

Here are a few links to channel icons for those who want to use these with their favorite channels.
