I felt like posting some pics so heres my camaro torn apart. When I get it back from the shop I would like to re-run some wires that previous installers did. I just dont like how it was done. I have a cover for the amps, which will go behind the back seat on the platform. Im trying to decide whether to put the tweeters for the momos in the a-pillars, or in the door panel. Either way, I want to have them flush. Since they tore the door where a speaker bracket would bolt up, Im also thinking of fiberglassing over where the grilles are on the door. Here's a pic of what the door panel looks like...

I got tired of not having the stereo in there so I threw the drivers in the rear and mounted the tweeters temporarily on the triangle above the door panel.
All the stuff that will go in...
Pioneer deh-p860
Mtx Thunder 564
Mtx Thunder 942
Momo C6500
2x db124s (I was going to get momo's, but I couldnt pass up 100 for 2 db124s since I dont have a job right now).

I know that feeling.
I remember once when I had an Olds Cutlass, I was installing an alarm on it and at one point I had the dash off, both door panels off and wires hanging everywhere. I sat there and looked at it for a minute and started to freak! Thinking, "my God! How am I ever going to get all that back together?!"
Thats when youve got to get hold of yourself, drink another beer and get back to it! :D

I'm just hoping once I get everything reinstalled that alt noise wont be a problem.... The mechanic is picking it up in the morning, so I had to get all that crap out tonight so I still have it when I get the car back.

You have a good setup going in. I had that same MTX 4ch. amp for a while.
From the looks of it, it would be a great opportunity to add some sound deadener to your exposed panels.
I think you will get better results by putting the tweeters up by the A-pillars. Play around with different positions though, a friend, or some tape comes in handy for this. Also, if you are going to put the tweeters up by the A-pillars, try reversing the phase on them to see if it helps the sound blend in a little better.

If I had an income right now, I would do the deadener. I ripped everything out basically because I have no idea when I will see the car again, and at least by taking this stuff out I can clean/paint the trim and maybe do some fab to the door panel.

Got it. Hopefully you will see it back soon.

School needs to start back up so I can start spending again. Not fun working for the school district with a non-salaried job.
And my 0% apr credit card just upped their purchase apr to 18%. So had to pay all 630 off before that happens. I feel like a bum now....no car and no money. I love college. Everyone should have this experience.

im hoping to finish my setup before i go back to school, but its looking more and more like thats NOT going to happen...

Ive driven my car around with just the drivers seat a few weeks myself, but that was more because I went in a cleaning frenzy on my car after my dad bought his 05 mustang. I just couldn't let him show me up like that....

Your last truck was worse. I dont think you ever had the back seat in more than 5 consecutive days the entire time you owned it!

lol, the old truck had the back seat almost all the time. It was out for a couple weeks when I wired in all 4 of my amps and then again for a couple weeks when i was doing fiberglass work to it. This truck has literally been torn apart more than its been put together...
