This weekend, I hit up the ATM for a couple of bills. Of course I got back a bunch of 20's.
Interestingly, two of those 20's are from the mid 80's with Jamer Baker's signature.
Have these twenties gone up in value since they don't have all the new security features, etc.?
Thanks,
Wes

Nope they're only worth about $1.13 now. Go ahead and send them to me, I'll send ya a check for $2.26.

I know we're not supposed to bid here at Club Polk, but I'll give you $5 a pop for those 20s. :o

$2 sounds about right.
I dont' think theyr'e rare enough for anyone to actually pay for them.

$2 bills aren't rare at all. You can still get them from the bank for.... you guessed it, $2 a piece.

On the other hand, most banks will have to give you silver dollars (at $1 each) if you ask for them and they have any. And they ARE worth more than $1.
I had a teacher in middle school whose wife worked at a bank- he was a coin & military collector and whenever anything weird would come in, she'd swap it out for her own cash at the end of the day. They made a good bit on the side doing this.

There was a sailor at Great Lakes Naval Training center in 1979 that got a cash disbursement in all silver certificate bills. Worth considerably more than face value.
