Item: Behringer Truth B2031A Studio Monitors (Near-Field)
Price: $285.00 + S (Probally about $320 Shipped
What Behringer Says -
The TRUTH B2031A is the substantially improved successor to our best-selling B2031. It is a high-resolution, active 2-way reference studio monitor with XLR and ¼" TRS servo balanced inputs that delivers very neutral sound and has an extremely flat frequency response (50 Hz - 21 kHz). It includes built-in 150- and 75-Watt power amps with enormous power reserve plus separately controlled limiters for low and high frequency overload protection.

Tight, deep bass is provided by a long-throw 8 ¾" woofer with a special polypropylene diaphragm, while a ferrofluid-cooled HF driver guarantees clear and detailed highs. The unique BEHRINGER wave guide and the extremely low-distortion active crossover network with 4th order Linkwitz-Riley filters produce an absolutely linear phase response with excellent sound dispersion and stereo imaging together with an extremely large “sweet spot”.

The B2031A is adjustable to a wide range of acoustic conditions or subwoofer combinations and magnetic shielding allows placement near computer/video monitors. All TRUTH monitors are delivered as “matched pairs” with individual response curves.

What I Says: I say these are some of the best effing speakers you will find for the money. PERFECT for anyone sitting anywhere from 1 to 10 feet away. They have superb detail, excellent staging - like I said, anyone in an OFFICE or COMPUTER - they are 100% powered, take XLR and 1/4 and are completely switchable to small enviorments with eqing via the rear panel. Some of the best speakers I have heard for the money. Only reason I am selling is simple - I want to jump start into my future upgrades and this is the only way I can do it. Otherwise I would keep these until I got the new stuff. But Im looking for faster methods!

Shipping/Packaging: Behringers double boxes their speakers, honestly - I dont think they will be harmed with the factory packaging - but I plan to add some additional packaging (like always) to the boxes for additional support! This is just one of the many benefits of working with me.

ALSO, I may try to get you guys hooked up with a new pair instead of these (no need to explain - I work at a store that sells these things)...

Regardless.. Awesome speakers for the money.

Payment: Money Order ONLY! No Checks, No Cash, No Paypal - Just Money Order.

What are you doing?

I thought these were the cats meow? The pigs shit?

I thought they made you as happy as a retard in the bouncy balls? I thought you felt like a fat kid with a cupcake? I thought you were as excited as a puppy with two peters?

Butter my butt and call me a biscuit, this just don't make sense.

Cheers,
Russ

So whatcha got comin'?

I still like them alot, and still think they are the cats meow - happy as a retard in the bouncy balls...

However, I have some BIG upgrades planned...

Its all a conspiracy for the bigger and better!

I have my eye on that Marsh A400S amp...

Will use the DTs a bit, will sell the DTs - pull out the back up Black Labs which sound outstanding (thanks again Russ) and from there... its those big ol Mystery speakers only a few know about...

And did I mention stereo SVS subs? (Those are a few years away though)

Dang, my internet goes out and see what happens? Anyway, how much can these be bought for retail? I know MSRP is 500 but what do stores sell them for? Also, you owned the Polk RT5 bookshelf right? What advantages will I have upgrading from these speakers?

They retail for $339.99 + Tax

They have far better staging, detail, depth, they are a far better speaker than the RT5, IMO.

However, realize they are active and they do only accept XLR and 1/4 connections. (And you will need preouts to use them)...

If you want a pair... let me know. I can sell you a pair through where I work/out of state.

Just let me know and Ill let you know the details.

Behringer also makes a passive version, its like under 200 a pair - Ive never heard them, but I imagine they are just as good.

PS: If anyone else wants a pair... new in the box... I can get you one from my store via. Out of state sale.

$339.99 -- I think with out of state sales we dont include tax, just shipping charges. Ill work out the details.

Ok, so let me get this straight. Could I use a converter for my PC to go from 1/8" to 1/4" TRS ? And could I do the same for my CDP? Though I guess to best optimize the experience and sound I should get a preamp that outputs to XLR or TRS right?

My humble opinion....

XLR is the best route.

Otherwise, what you mentioned is the other way to go...

If you want a pair and want to buy new, let me know man - I will help you out.

There is also a Truth sub which owns....

Its... $229.99 I think.
