If you are fan of the GTA series you absolutely have to try out the Saints Row Demo. (XBL Marketplace) There are some framerate issues because the demo is an old build from E3 however the game looks phenomenal and since they are using the Havok physics engine it really adds a whole new dimension to this GTA clone. :D

Seeing that game is the reason I bought the 360. It was supposed to come out in early May, but it never happened. I thought the graphics looked phenomenal in the stills I saw.

Agreed, the Saints Row demo is great. They take a lot from the GTA series, but take it to the next level. Its great. I will be buying the full game.

I'll probably be buying Dead Rising as well.

Have you checked out the HD videos they have on the marketplace? (They are also on www.gametrailers.com) The game looks even better in action however keep in mind that the video, although it looks nice, is not the true quality of the game being rendered real time on the system.

The Dead Rising trailers? Yep, I watched them, and they're awesome. I love how just about anything is a weapon.

I think the demo is really great, I have probably played it for about 4 hours already even with the limited demo area. I have heard there aren't going to be any bikes or planes since they are using the Havok engine but I foresee this being a solid title.

This game is going to be amazing. They do need to add a little gore in, however.

It's totally a rip off a GTA rip off with more goodies, and I'm not complaining. Played it for a few hours this morning.

I think the term "GTA clone" isn't accurate for how similar the games are to one another! :) Should be more like "GTA in a different cover for a different system".

Still a great game.

No doubt, it could very well say Rockstar on everything and nobody would know the difference. :)

Saints Row is available to get....if you know where to get it.

I will be staying far away until release...I learned my lessons with Chromehounds when it came out 2 weeks early.

Chromehounds came out 2 weeks before release, and I got a few PM's from some people asking how I got the game so early.

As for SR, I said eff it and did the first mission (you can verify through Live) and what a great game. I am going to love it....but I love GTA so this is up my ally.

Not for kiddos though, they use the eff word way more in this than they did in GTA.

If anyway is even remotely interested in Saints Row, drop what you are doing, get to you local game retailer ASAP and purchase this game. AAA game. It is absolutely fantastic. The way the cars handle, the voice acting/mo cap, the level of customization, the variance in enviroment and mission types, just everything has me loving this game and visually it is incredible.

I preordered it. Not sure if I am going to pick it up tonight or not. There are just too many good games out right now. I could spend all day, literally, playing Dead Rising, Madden 07 and now this.

It is starting to get overwhelming. It was just a month or so ago I was bitching about a lack of games. I have all I can do to catch up.

Its like the number of games coming out is down, but the games that are coming out are very high quality. I mean, I played Prey just by chance and it was incredible. I don't even like to think about the great games on the PC that I am missing.

Agreed, the 360 is ramping up it's titles before the ps3 launch. Heck in September we have Just Cause, The Godfather, and Lego Star Wars 2. (Yes Lego Star Wars is a great game for kids, incredible game play)

Then you have Tiger Woods, Splinter Cell, Marvel ultimate Alliance, Phantasy Star, and Need For Speed Carbon in October.

THEN the first week of November is when the shit hits the fan. Call of Duty 3, Forza, College Hoops, Dead or Alive Xtreme, FEAR, Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, Tony Hawk Project 8, and Star Trek Legacy. (Yes that is all in the first week according to EBGAMES)

So there are some incredible games in the next 2 and a half months. My top 3 are:
1) Gears of War
2) Rainbow Six Vegas
3)FEAR

My Kids Top 3 (I just asked)
1) Lego Star Wars
2) Tony Hawk
3) Need For Speed

Yes, its nothing more than a GTA clone, but its awesome. IMO, it is a must buy for the 360. Take GTA, subtract the campiness, and make everything that remains much, much better. Thats Saints Row.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game, but I'm dissapointed with all the bugs. I tried multiplayer overthe weekend, and that was basically unplayable due to lag and other randomness. Tonight I had Level 4 Police pissed-off-edness on me, and the game slowed down to a grinding halt because the 360 couldn't handle all the people, cops, and helicopter in the same area.

Yeah, online multiplayer is pretty dang laggy. Hopefully they can patch that up.

I'd have to say the most fun I have is playing the escort missions. I can't believe some of the stuff they say when they're having 'fun'. I laughed my ass off last night when I picked up another woman instead of a man.
