My wife & I plan to see it this weekend. I'm not much of a Will Ferrel fan, but this looked pretty funny-of course I'm a car guy too ;)

Only one question about this movie; will I see it tonight or tomorrow?

Tonight. :D

I love Ali G (Sasha Baron Cohen), and him playing a Frenchman is hilarious.

i'm just a bit tired of Will Ferral, he's everywhere these days. I have OD'd on him now.

I'm not planning to see this at the theater. I know his type of humor and i get tired of it about 10 mins in.

IF it gets good reveiws.. i'll rent in on DVD when it comes out.

It's getting very good reviews, which almost never happens for a comedy of this nature.

It is indeed drawing good reviews; even from the NYT.

I agree though. Wil Ferrell isn't my cup of tea, either. Like Jim Carrey before him, and Bill Murray (who, I realize, was cut from different cloth) before him. Sorry, I just never found these guys very funny.

Great popcorn flick! I lol'd a few times. Of course not all the jokes are winners, but just let yourself go and enjoy it. Stay for the credits.

Yeah, it was pretty funny. The kids were hilarious-even though I'd kill 'em if they were mine :p Stay for the credits!

Ah, I'm delighted to see there is hope for the human race. All 3 of them are just gawd awful.

I'm sure if you like Will Ferrell (I do), this is hilarious. If you don't, obviously you wouldn't even consider this movie. Why be so nasty about how much he sucks and blah blah blah? Different senses of humor and whatnot, the guy's one of the most popular comic actor's out there right now, so obviously you're in the minority if you think he's a no-talent schlub.

If there's one thing that's clear about one's sense of humor, it's that many here are missing theirs........:D

i think he has talent... but he's flooded the market with so many movies in the past few years... i'm ready for something or someone new.

Trust me on this one; I love Will Ferrell as much as anyone, but this movie blew.

I thought this movie was very much like Old School. Overall very entertaining and had a TOOOOOOOOON of quotable lines but still a lot of dead storyline parts that drug on to long. Personally, I'll be owning this come day 1 on dvd.

47 million --- Beat the estimates by 15 million-- Looks like we are not the only ones laughing.

It's the other 253 million that are laughing.......at the 47 million who paid money to see that crapola.

Yeah I probably should have stated that it's only 47 million dollars that the movie took to the bank instead of people who went to see it.

F1 how about the world champion's wheel falling off? You would think with only ONE nut to tighten they couldn't miss that one.

i don't think it's funny or creative humor to see a 35 yr old guy running around in his underwear yelling... "i'm on fire, I'm on fire".. that's the lowest form of comedy i think. And that shit ain't funny.

LOL.....I stand corrected. So, at 10 bucks a pop, that's 4 million 700 hundred thousand people. I feel better now. :)

I taped the race and haven't had a chance to watch it yet......don't spoil anymore of it for me.

Well, acutally its 4,700,000 folks at 10 bucks a pop, but the point is still well taken F1.

Okay, there is one part that is sticking with me as pretty friggin funny.

'That JUST happened.'

I've been using it at work as often as possible.

Will Ferrell has joined Adam Sandler in that group of actors that I have NO interest in watching any movie they are in. The whole SNL cast to the big screen has just become tiresome and boring IMO. In fact it has been a long time since there has been a comedy that was really funny. They all seem to be written to the level of a 12 year old boy or a 40 year old woman and nothing in between.

Wow. i could have written this myself.. my thought's exactly. tiresome is a perfect way to define it. tiresome.

You guys just take yourselves way too seriously. If you can't watch a movie like Anchorman and laugh your ass off.... I feel bad for you.

Of course, keep in mind that these movies are aimed towards males in the 16-30 demographic, so if you're older than that.... just accept that it's not really made for you. I'm not really sure how old some of you are despite all the "how old are you and what's your real name" threads. :)

Don't feel sorry for me! I have much better things to WASTE my time on than to watch Ferrell. Besides...I can see that kind of stupidity EVERY day. I simply have to spend a couple of minutes around my daughter's boyfriends. They do more dumbass stuff in a couple of minutes than all of the stuff in these movies. They however are convinced they are totally cool.

i actually like anchorman. because i'm in broadcasting.. i really enjoyed it. but so many of the former SNL comedians do very similar movies.. yes comedies, but they all look like they were produced by Adam Sandler's production company. same look, same type of humor, etc.

and yeah. us older guys don't have any sense of humor i know. we don't know what's funny either. LOL
