To find the perfect sub

People I need some help!

My inventory so far... two C400.4 amps and two pairs of MMC6500's

My intention is use one C400.4 to drive my four MMC6500's :p

Now comes the "I need your Help" part....

The second C400.4 i'd like to run some kind of well tuned Ported Sub box...

I only have a few wishes...

(1) I want to keep the system all Polk :D

(2) I'd love to just buy a pre-made box if possible (e.g. Q-Logic) or get the exact plans for the pefect ported box

I just need to figure out what speaker(s) I need, how to wire it\them and what ported box to put it\them in :confused:

The box will depend on your driver.

I have not had good luck with Q-Logic boxes. All of the ones I have owned have all had airleaks.

Many times the sub you get will come with information regarding the proper box for it. You could also get in contact with the company if you have more questions.

Ok, granted... But my issue is what Polk sub to purchase!

That depends on your budget and the goal of your system. Do you want a system that is mainly for SPL or SQ?

Budget is not a problem... I just want to buy only Polk

I already have the C400.4 amp and I would prefer to try and use it to run whatever sub I select.

My preference for SPL vs. SQ would be SQ before SPL, but I do know that I want a ported box since I prefer a bit of boom in my bass compared to the sealed box sound.
