Mine is coming tomorrow from Netflix. It's supposed to be Spike Lee's best joint (:p ), but I guess we'll see. He's really hit or miss.

God what a stupid name for a production company. :p
But at least he makes good films that at least attempt to be socially relevant.
I thought it was a good flick.

Saw this in the theaters (which is rare for me). Actually liked it quite a bit. Of course, Spike Lee tried to insert a racial element where there was none, but if you ignore that ridiculousness it's a pretty good movie. A little slow.

I saw it last night, pretty good movie. Spike put his trademark elements in it of course, but it does keep you guessing until the end. I recommend it. 7-8/10

I thought the movie was well shot, and entertaining. I found the ending to be rather underwhelming. It's definitely worth a rental, IMO.

i watched it, it was good, but I fell asleep again, I guess I have to start watching these around 5:00 pm. I woke up at the ending 15 minutes which was cool. Dont know what the hell I missed, but I got at least half of it and suppose I can fill in the blanks with my own thoughts.

can't believe I used to close the clubs, ahh those were the days.......

Blockbuster was kind enough to send me one of their $2.49 unlimited movie rental cards, which I used to rent a copy of Inside Man. It was a mostly enjoyable movie and well worth the $2.71 (with tax) that I paid to see it.

Pros:

Picture quality-sharp, clear images with vivid colors.
Sound-crystal clear with great use of surround channels, great low frequency effects.

Interesting story, great acting, interesting characters.

Cons:

The first hour and a half drags along with a lot of needless, meaningless dialog between characters. I would have preferred more character development and backstory on the very interesting characters played by Denzel (the hostage negotiator), Clive Owens (the bank robber team leader), Jodie Foster (the mysterious "problem solver"), and Christopher Plummer (the bank chairman with a secret).

I correctly guessed the bank chairman's "secret", but I was only able to do so because the of the character's age, ocupation and social status and because the actor playing this role has played many similar roles before. Other than that, the story kept me guessing about what the bank robbers were really after.

I thought the ending was somewhat of a letdown. I was expecting a more confrontational resolution.

I'll pick up a used copy for under 10 bucks (inclusive of shipping).

I just saw it and give it a 7 outta 10.
Denzel played a powerful performance.

spike lee is a pretentious prick.
The only movie i've enjoyed from spike was the summer of sam and it's because i had alot of fun disrupting his shoots.
I worked in the general area where he shot that film and i kept parking my ambulance at or near all his locations. He would send his goons out to tell me to move or to shut off my bus.
