I listened to my neighbors new rig today!

He just bought a used set of B&W 800 Signatures to go along with his Herron tube pre and Musical Fidelity amp. WOW!!! is that a nice set up. I have never heard a rig that detailed before. He's bankrupting me before I even have the cash! lol

Sounds like a killer system. If you like the sound of his system more than yours, you should use the sound quality from his rig as a base or reference towards your future upgrade. Should make things a little easier.

Yea I am curious how much of his sound is attributed to the speakers and how much is from the components. I am going to try hooking up my SDA's to his rig to see how they sound. Of course seeing as my speaks were $250 compared to many thousands for his. I would expect much of the good sound is attributed to his speakers.

Swap in the new tweeters, some Sonicap caps and Mills resistors before you hook them up to his rig. Both of you might be surprised.

I do plan on ordering the new tweeters within the next month or so. That part I can handle. As for the caps and x-over, I am outta my league lol. I am kind of a layman when it comes to that kind of thing. I just know if I like the sound or not.
