We all know it's relative. I'm sure everyone of us has a friend that is absolutely incredulous that we spent (that much) on (this).

Can I tell the difference between my speakers and something on par with the LSi's? Yes.
Can I tell a $10,000 set from a $1,000 set? Yes, that's why I hope to own beemers, or the like, some day.
$10,000 vs. $100,000+? I don't know, but I doubt the perceived difference could justify the price tag. Bragging rights? Sure, that's a different story, for those just rolling in money.

Even if I was a billionaire I am not sure I could justify spending that $$ on speakers.

I used to think it was Rockport Audio, then it was Wilson Audio, but thats pittance compared to Wisdom Audio's Infinite Wisdom Grande. Rockport was around $99,000 if I remember correctly and the X2s were $135,000. These behemoths are $600,000 a pair!

Are they worth it? Depends... There's nothing _really_ special about the materials in a lot of high end speakers. The Magico mini's and the wilsons both use a $400/ea ring radiator tweeter... I can't tell you how many high-end designs i've seen using scanspeak revelator woofers- ~$200/ea. If you machine aluminum, or are a woodworker, then you can put together some of these designs on the cheap. The real cost is in the R&D and marketing. They spend a lot of money testing crossovers, building cabinets, testing response, making these badass designs, then have to convince people to buy them.
So- if you can get ahold of a pair & reverse engineer them, then you'll come out at a fraction of their asking price... but could you start from scratch and design as good a speaker? Probably not.
The Ultimates, incidentally, probably are the exception- those compression drivers run something like $20,000 each. The cheapest drivers in those are the 15" sub at $700.

I was lucky enough to hear some Magico's in a personal setting.
The guy has tons of money and spent it on high end gear and also
high end acoustic treatments for his room.
I've never heard anything so absoluetly life-like anywhere. Would be
nice to own his setup if money was no object.

Well I suppose it's all relative the more I think about it . I think it's obscene to spend that kind of dough on speakers when that money could go to help someone but some people probably would think that about the money I have spent on my set up...so spend away!:D
How about Kharma Enigmas?

These are ridiculous.
I own $10K speakers, but $1Million speakers are nonsense... I'm going to puke. Those arent made for living rooms... it's made for a venue. But then, if you have a venue, might as well hire the real thing.

Custom Magico's...remember the rare Austrailian wood he had fitted between the vertical ribs in the T6 aluminum on the sides of the speaker? They had about 15-20 strips per side. I couldn't have afforded that.
