I just did a test on my speakers to see why the Right speaker is more dominate then the other. Well to my surprise the Left tweeter is not as crisp as the right "it’s almost muffled". So what to do now? Thanks! Shannon

First try switching the speakers on the the back of your amp... and see if the problem follows the speaker.

So the same speaker is still muffled? Or the same side?

The driver with one of the others that I have and still no change. chould this be a X-over probem? I have a spare of of those that was repalce out of my LSiC back in 2002 due to a rainbow efect it was giving my CRT. Thanks! Shannon

Have you checked the brass jumpers on the back to make sure they're secure to the binding posts?

It's hard to keep things crisp once the bag is opened. Have you tried burping your Vifa?

I believe the crossover in the LSiC is different than the one in the LSi9, so if I were you I wouldn't swap them. If you've tried swapping to a different channel on your amp/reciever, and swapped out the tweeter, then yes it probably is the crossover.
Give polk customer service a call, and explain the problem. They will take good care of you. Let us know how it works out!

I had a similar problem on my Rti10's. I first tried switching the L/R amp channels to see if the problem moved or stayed with the speaker, then I switched the tweeters between the 2 cabinets to see if the tweeter was the problem. After all that, the sound remained with the same speaker cabinet, so I removed the crossover and sent it to Polk, they sent me a replacement and that fixed the problem.
