AES Convention

I spoke with my recording studio professor today about I trip I am going to be making in early October back home to San Francisco for the Audio Engineering Society Convention and he is going to be introducing me to some of the biggest names in the industry during the convention. Anyway, he is also setting up a meeting and tour of Skywalker Sound up in Marin County!!! This, for me, is absolutely huge. If I could get a job there right out of school it would be nothing short of incredible. My professor is a veteran as a recording engineer who has established quite a name for himself especially in the Bay Area. Over the past few months I have been showing him my work and he has taken a strong interest in me and is doing everything in his power to help me out. I almost don't know what to do with myself I am so ecstatic.

AES is definitely a cool show. Unfortunately for us consumer audio guys, the show has veered away from that area and more and more toward pro audio stuff lately. Still a fun show and a great place to have it. There should be a group of Polk guys there too.

Awesome, I am definitely looking forward to it since my area of interest is post production sound design for motion pictures.
