Just add picture with Manage Attachments during new post, you can't do it during quick posting.

I see how to do it, but everything is too large. Is sending to email the only way to shrink? I save everything as JPEG.

The easiest and the best I have found is window itself. I tried something else but never like the quality of postings, so back to what I know and like.
