Well, I tink I'm readyto stepup to a big(ger) time DVD player that matches my plasma's capabilities better than the Tosh 3960.
With that said, I've read the reviews of the DV-9600, especially those from Secrets/Benchmark on the digital and DVD performance of the unit, which seems to be pretty impressive and among the best reasonably available with a non-Faroudja de-interlacer.
I know Steve was disappointed with the transport performace of his Denon 2910, but based on the Benchmark comments I'm not as concerned about that as about losing DAC performance, specifically upsampling, or lack thereof, versus the Bel Canto.
I figure that I can move the Rotel and the Bel Canto and almost cover a Marantz, so cash isn't too big of an issue.
Any other thoughts would be helpful.
