Do any of you have or have used one of these amps and what is your opinion?
I can pick up one for about 350.00 used. How would you compare this to Outlaw 2200?
Thanks

That's a fantastic amp and a steal at that price.

A terrific amp! I have had both Outlaw 200 & the Parasound 1500. They are both great, so jump on it fast!

Hate to give a biased opinion, but I love mine.

LOL! It's not biased Steve, it's the TRUTH!!!:D
GREAT AMP!!!! Even better for that price. If you don't like it, I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Our 1500 drives the SDA's effortlessly...sweet sound that is a bargin at $500.
I plan on putting all Paraound amps. in our HT rig in the near future.
My advice would be "go for it"

One caution though, Parasounds run hot, give it plenty of air space w/a minimum of 7"-8" clearance from the top. Cooling fans are another option if you can't get the clearance necessary.
My receiver does not have a 12v trigger. Would I have to manually turn on this amp every time or does it have other standby modes?
Thanks

My word. An awesome Parasound amp for $350 and you're going to worry about a trigger?!

The newer HCA-1500's have a 12v trigger option, but no standby mode that is triggered by an input signal from the preamp. The Outlaw M2200 will have the standby mode triggered by an input signal. For HT the Outlaw M2200 will do very well, remember these are mono (single channel) amps so you need two of them as compared to one Parasound 1500. For music the 1500 is a much better amplifier. I run two 1500's vertically bi-amped to drive my Magnepan 1.6QR in my 2 ch system. I run 6 Outlaw M200's (previous model to the M2200) in my HT system.

You would have to manually turn it on or leave it on.

Buy it and I'll send you the outlaw in exchange...
