Actually looking for the 2L SE. For use with Anthem 2 SE amps. Black preferred. Minty condition preferred. Updated volume pot preferred.

Good luck with the search. Great pre, one I'd love to have, but I'd be surprised if you find one real quick.

Put a WTB on Audiogon (http://www.audiogon.com), it's free last time I checked and you'll have much better luck there.

They now charge six dollars to do so. Drat, says I.

Well, that's lame but either way it's the best avenue of approach.

Thanks for the suggestions. One in black sold for $450.00 sometime recently and a silver, NOS is offered for $800.00 currently and a silver unit for $550.00 or best offer, but none are the SE. I will wait and keep focussed on this one piece. I may be open to something else in the meantime if I can buy it right. Right now, an NAD 1155 is all I have in terms of dedicated preamp.

It would be nice to match the Pre 2 for the Anthem amps, but there are alot of nice offerings out there. The Prime Lunas I think I emailed you a link are receiving rave reviews and others on the used market.
I remember the PRE 2L, but was there an SE model of that preamp. I thought the Pre 2 was the upgrade?

Big thanks again to George Daniel for the heads up on a black Pre 2L on the 'Gon. $615.00 shipped w/tubes. Comes with what sounds like a great quad of platinums from Upscale Audio that are $100.00 all together.
Patience pays off as I was tempted to jump on a silver 2L to finish my setup instead of waiting for the matching black. George talked me through jumping on the silver piece a few weeks back and being patient.
Seller had to run, but I may consider his matching SE amp since one of mine's tribulations has been well documented here. It may be a bit steep but I haven't talked price yet. Thanks George and thanks for this awesome site! I should be in listening heaven very soon...
