surround placement

I have R15s for my surrounds.
The rear wall is about 1-2 feet behind my listening position. I plan on mounting them about 2 feet above the listening position.
Here are the 3 options I have came up with. Which should I choose?
1. Mount them facing eachother on the side walls about where they meet the rear wall(6" to a foot from the rear wall).
2. Mount them against the rear wall facing perpindicular to the rear wall.
3. Mount them in the corner facing toward the listening position.

you guys don't think that having the sound projected parallel to the rear wall at such a close distance will degrade the effect?

Basically because my rear seating is about 6" from the rear wall and I have the two end seats almost directly under the surrounds.

I played a lot with placement to get the best surround feild possilble. If you have space on the sides and and behind, put them a foot or two behind the seating facing eachother about 3-4' above ear level.

Ron, a foot or two behind my seat is the rear wall. I guess my concern is that if I put the rears facing eachother behind me, the rear wall will be very close to the sound(6" to a foot from the speaker) which would be directed parallel to the rear wall. Will this not effect the effect? hehe.

Sorry if i seem like a nusance, I just want to eliminate the trial and error option.
