View Full Version : Need help with a stereo wireing harness

I hope someone out here can help me.
I have a 1990 Honda Civic 4 Door Sedan and I also have a Pioneer DEH 4400
CD/AM/FM stereo and I am trying to find a one piece harness from my stereo directly to my honda 16 pin plug can anyone out here help me find this harness I have tried metra's but I can not find their actual website and all the other sites do not tell me much.
Please any suggestions on my problem to solve this the right way.

I thought they made wiring harnesses for pretty much everything out there.
Or is it because its a 17 year old car?

not a problem AB this car is my baby it may be 17 years old it has 340,000 miles on it and is still running without a problem, Hard to believe right.

if youre talking about just a harness that connects to your factory harness, yes, they do make one, if youre talking about one that goes from the factory harness to the pioneer harness, then no, they dont. Circuit shitty and best buy have the smart harnesses that go from factory to a universal, then another universal to pioneer.
If youre just looking for the regular harness, I beleive its the 70-1720. That is the harness for early 90 model hondas

Sure is! But if you've got something that keeps ticking like that there's no reason to get rid of it!

Not really. Honda's are pretty much indestructible and are most likely to outlive their owners! I wish all cars were built as well.

I have to admit, with the $3 gas, there were a couple instances where I played with the idea of running out and trading in my beloved Dodge for a Honda Civic. Bulletproof reliability and 40 mpg!

my girlfriend has a 2000 civic 2door with under 100,000 miles on it and that thing leaks oil all over my driveway. damn jap traps lol j/k.
