k well just orderd my mm2154 svc subwoofer today 400 watts rms. and im debating on what amp to get considering when i get the money im getting another mm2154

first choice is a profile ap1000 putting out 480 watts rms X 1 at 4 ohm and will get another after i get the second sub

or

profile ap2000 pumping 320 watts X 2 at 4 ohm and will just get another sub later and add to the amp.

and if i get the ap1000 will i also need to get another amp kit to go with it as well or is there any way i could hook up two amps to my four gauge amp kit. amp kit says it handles 2500 watts

thxxx

sub is going in a 2.0 cubic foot speaker box if that matters any. the sub calls for a 1.5 but im dumb and built it to deep :( :(

I suggest you get a Class D amp. That way you can run your single sub with it for now and when you get another, you can slap it on there and itll run both.

This Kenwood is the best deal I could find. Its $300 and makes 800x1 @ 2 ohms. Its more expensive than the Profiles you listed but when you figure youd have to buy 2 Profiles to equal this one amp, youre coming out ahead. Plus its easier to hook up.

If you want to go cheaper you can get this Power Acoustic for $200. Its rated to make the same power but Id wager the Kenwood will make more clean power and itll be built a little better. You get what you pay for.

I highly suggest NOT getting that kenwood. Kenwood's new KAC series amps are pieces of shit.

I usually shoot about 80 over.

Oh, we weren't talking about golf? My bad...

i think im ganna go with the profile ap2000 running it at 80 under. cuz i will be able to upgrade to a bigger and better speaker with that amp bridged at 960 rms watts.
