This was one of the movie that I thought was/is very good when it was released in the early 80's. Hell, I was intrigued enough to think that it was a great idea to enroll in such academy at a young age. Where else can you try out a M16, let alone manning the post at that age?

Regardless of how you feel about Tom Cruise today, I thought his performance was great, along with Sean Penn and Timothy.

Filmed at the Valley Forge Military Academy outside Philadelphia. They were one of the schools that we competed against in various high school sports. Ran track against them a number of times.

Interesting factoid! did you check the wharehouse where they stored the M16 and ammo? Btw, I got mine, did a quick scan: PQ is very good (considering how old it was) DD 4.0, which is better than nothing. Overall. for $12.99 at BB this week, it ain't bad.

Not sure they actually stored firepower of that sort on campus. It was a movie thing. It was a school for kids who usually needed a little more "guidance" (aka asskicking) than what they were receiving elsewhere.
