I finally ordered my Sony KDL40XBR t.v. ($2685 delivered/insured which is $856 less than CC price and takes into consideration 6.5% sales tax) today and I need to get prepared for installation.
I am assuming that I need to have an inwall box that will in turn pass the t.v.'s video signal to the cable box, etc. Can someone recommend a good quality brand and place to buy these types of accessories? (I already have a coax adaptor installed, but I assume there are better quality options.) I may also need another for the sub since my house was prewired with a sub in mind.
The piece I am referring to would replace the standard coax jack that the cable company puts in the wall.
I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for as I will be using HDMI connects but my A/V doesn't have HDMI video switching capabilites, so I may have to use components as well to utilize this feature. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to use HDMI and component from the cable box so that I can get sound and video the HDMI but also have the convenience of using video/switching if needed via component?
