Brochure says minimum 75 watts into 8 ohms. But, someone would probably blow 20 of the 80 tweeters in the things before they'd be able to notice any difference with that power level. The speakers aren't all that efficient. I'd guess they need to be powered by around least 400 watts per channel, which could be achieved easily for around $1100 on the budget side of the used market. If someone bought speakers like that though, they could afford any amplification they wanted. But, they still aren't SDA's. ;)

lol, so, i really need to hear a pair of these sda's everyones talkin about, that is a crap load of drivers, the wiring in that speaker must be so messy and complicated

That was almost kinda cool 'til I saw it was McIntosh. They should know better than that!
Good point about the wiring...I'd hate to have to work on 'em! :eek:
