Though I am not an incredible fan of KLH products, while browsing at BestBuy I heard some thunderous bass and like a fish to a lour, I came accordingly to check it out. As I walked to the back-end of the store the sound diverted towards the home theatre department, I followed the sound till I reached its source...a little 10' KLH sub. I was quite impressed with how much bass this thing was pumping out, though it was a little boomy and not what you would remotely consider "audiophile" quality...the low fequencies and sheer volume were respectable. I glanced at the price-tag and recieved sticker-shock, it was only $120.00 I went to Best Buys highed priced sub, a JBL "professional" 12' 250 watt sub. It was retailing for roughly $650.00. I must say, the KLH more then held its own against the supposed "superior" sub.

Needless to say, I pluncked down the cash and took her home. Upon arrival, I quickly took it out of the box (nothing fancy about the inner content, just the Sub and a warrenty sheet). I got everything all ready and then played "the Eminem show". I must say, I was impressed as it seemed to fill the air space better then my Polk RT2000p's. However, I found it simply was not as accurate as my Polks so I gave the sub to my parents. Now I can finally complain about their bass being too loud. haha

The moral of this story, if there is a local BestBuy near you, then see if they have this little sub and give her a listen. Dont expect it to "wow" you in comparison with Velodyne, Sunfire, etc.. its only $120.00.

Take it a step further, rip open a $5 pillow from Wal-mart and add more fill to the little KLH. You should be pleasantly suprised again....

Cheers,

HI:

I will tell you what the best bang for your buck is. Be honest and do what you say you are going to do. Pay your bills on time or let them know why you can't and when you will. Don't sell what you don't own, and be up front about what you do sell.

THAT IS THE REAL BANG::::::
