No matter where you stand on the war in Iraq. This letter from a soldier is amazingly frank and honest.

I'm not suprised at his disgust at the talking heads back in the safety of the USA who flap their yappers but, in all reality, don't know shit from apple butter.
Hope he makes it home in one piece.

Since this letter made it into the mainstream news media, rest assured you are either reading fictitious propoganda or a vigourously scrubbed version of the original letter. For a letter said to be written to close friends and family members, it sounds rather impersonal.

Earl: I've read many war letters dripping with the same type of sarcasm. I was pointed to this by a Vietnam vet, who thought it read with scary truth.
agree. I doubt the authenticity of this.
