View Full Version : Rf 800a2 Vs. Mtx 81000d
Which amp in your opinion would be better to power 2 MOMO 120s?
Anybody prefer Fosgate or MTX over the other?
I've got 2 of each amp and 4 MOMO 12"s...Is one amp definitely better than the other or should I just hook them both up and compare?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...
Nick,
If your goal is "SPL" then you might want to consider the MTX.
The 800a2 is not a class D amplifier and is more suitable for
for critical listening especially if you are considering the "Power series". It would also depend on the type of music that you like to listen to as well as the type of enclosure that the woofers are installed in. Trust your own ears and audition both!! Let us know if we can be of any help.
Happy Amp Hunting!!

Well, you only have so many HDMI inputs on your display. You could run all your HDMI components to your AVR and one cable to your display. Yes, you could program a Harmony to do the switching.

get the 800a2. i had one and its a monster. make sure you can feed it. it will give you over 1000 watts easy. mine got a little hot, but thats because i was running a 12w7 for a 1.5 ohm load.
