Are RT3's sound matched to RT600's?

(sorry for the easy question... easy for you guys, that is)

I know the rt25's are, and they're my first choice, but I can't seem to find a decent used pair from a reliable seller at a good price... can pick up some nice rt3's for 40 bucks today, but I don't know much about them...

And yeah, I know many people think the rears don't necessarily have to be matched to the fronts, but I do notice a difference- especially on my video games when a vehicle behind me travels past and to the front of me...

Will the RT3's be a good match? Anyone run this or a similar setup? Thanks...

The RT3's should be a pretty close match to the RT600's. The tweeters are very similar. The RT600i's use the trilaminate dome tweeter, but since you have the original 600's, you shouldn't have a problem.

I do have the regular rt600's, since there is no mention of rt600i anywhere on them or in the manual, but the specs page in the manual does claim a tri-laminate dome tweeter...

The RTxxxi series uses the same trilam tweeter. The RT3 doesn't, though, and won't be a perfect match. It uses a polymer dome, so the specs say (http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/rt3/) The woofer is different, too. More like the one in the SRT and CS350LS.
