Your speakers (mains) should form a equalateral triangle with your primary listening position. As far as how far out from the rear wall, tough call. Most people recommend keeping the fron 3 speakers on the same plane. Seating distance from the screen will vary, it really depends on the screen size and your personal preference.

Don't be afraid to try various placement options, thats half the fun! Remember to recalibrate after each speaker movement.
