Im going to start my system witht the center to replace my csi245. I see that the LSIC is rated at 200 watts is that max or rms?

Really it's "Nominal", but I really can't think of a reason why the power rating would matter, unless you want to know the max db's you can hit in your room... which would say that the LSi line is not for you.

typically I would consider it min. (or nearly so)

In all honesty, the more the better with the LSi series and current is much more important than watts. (just less advertised in most amps)

Why, what are you planning to run it with?

125 watts from what exactly? An AVR, an Amplifier? What brand? 125 watts from rotel, nad or parasound are dramatically different than 125 watts from Sony......

Overpowering a speaker is almost never an issue. Speakers almost always blow as a result of underpowering and if your 125 watts are coming from an AVR, that's what your concern should be.

Im look at powering it with Adcom 6000 or 2535

Sounds like it should not be an issue then. Enjoy.

Michael

Edit - I would go with the 6000 if they are the same price. If you do go with the 2535, be sure to check if it can bridge a 4 ohm load before you try to do it. If the amplifier is not stable into a 2 ohm load, you will not be able to bridge it at 4 ohms without having problems. Just wanted you to be aware of that potential issue. They do look like nice little amps though (and available at a good price).

dont bi amp anything (but go ahead and replace the brass jumper with speaker wire), just get the biggest amp you can afford that has the largest power supply and biggest transformer. You will need lots of current to make the lsi speakers sound there best.
