My 2.5 year old Sony DVD player died (amazingly enough, I thought Sony's lasted forever!) and I'm shopping for a new player. I have the Sony STR-DE875 receiver, Polk CS245i, PSW250, RT4(2) and fx300i(2). I'm also WAY into mp3's and am also very excited about the new SACD media. I'm looking for a new player that has progressive scan, component, optical, mp3, audio DVD/SACD with a 5.1/6.1 decoder. Any suggestions? Oh, and I don't have a lot of money to throw at it, either....
Thanks!:)

Yikes, that's pretty pricey - but I read the specs and it's all there. Thanks!!!

dkwyne,
what kind of specs and price are you looking for, just upgraded from a toshiba to the Onkyo DV-S555 for $350 from Crutchfield. Have found it to be an outstanding unit. The reviews were awsome and well merited. The only complaint anyone would have is lack of bells and whistles, and no prog. scan, if you need it. Personally I don't like bells and whistles on players, just good clean signal, which is what this unit represents.

Yamaha 920 (or 6480) is a very nice player, IMO. It's $599 retail.
It's 5 disc, progressive, dvd-audio, mp3, and has a very good picture.
