Monster HTS 3500 MKll questions

Does anyone have this unit and if so could you answer a couple of questions please?

I am using the AC power on option in which you hook the power on cord from your AVR's switched outlet to the remote power on the 3500's rear panel.
There is an on-off button on the front of the unit for the switched outlets.

I assumed that the unit powering up or down from the AVR's signal would turn the switched outlets on or off automaticly. I cannot seem to get this to work and the manual really does not get into the operation very well.

Is there a delay when you turn the AVR off before the 3500 drops the switched outlets?Do I leave the front panel buttons on?

I have a 5100, I leave the front panel button on, the 5100 allows for rear switch settings for delay, switched or unswitched so you can turn the gear on/off in a specified order. If you have the delay set this might be causing your issue.

I am not sure I understand about setting the delay .How do you set the delay?
I think the high current plugs have a built in delay.

Your unit may be different than mine, I have switches on the back, they are small slide switches with which to control pairs of outlets. I am not sure if the 3500 has these.

I just leave my switched outlets on.

If you're using the a/c remote or 12 volt trigger remote, make sure the little toggle switch on the back of the unit is set to remote, not manual. This may help. There is a 5 or 10 second delay before it shuts down. Also, I think that when using the remote option, it overrides the front buttons.

Odd thing about the 3500 MKII, is that the outlet marked for the AVR IS a switched outlet itself. So it will not work with the trigger.

You have to plug it into one of the unswitched outlets, which are marked CD, DVD, VCR, etc. Monster logic?

As William pointed out do not plug your AVR in in outlet marked AVR because it is a timed outlet. You must plug it in to a unswitched outlet on the 3500. The black monster manual has a section on how to use the timed remote feature..
