Greetings from Beertown.

New Polk owner here. This is my first home theater attempt (finally had some loot to blow on it).

x4 RTi4
x1 CSi3
x1 PSW505 (returned the 404 it wasn't enough)
Denon Receiver and DVD
Sony 50" Rear LCD
Dell Precision w/ bluetooth board and mouse
Creative X-Fi Card and DT610 Interface

We rebuilt the entire second floor of our house to be the "man room". Granted our house isn't that big, so the theater is about 20' x 50' and doubles as a small home office.

I'll post some pics this weekend.

Off to work.

Welcome to Club Polk. Stick around, kick up your feet and enjoy.

So, what movies / music do you like on your system? It sounds pretty nice, how do you like it?

Heh, heh, heh!!!:D  Truer words were never spoken, & I'll be the one to start.

In order to maximize your system, you should have a separate amplifer of at least 200wpc to run all of your speakers!!!! It will sound much better this way!:D :D

Welcome to the Forum. I see you have one hell of a space. With a space like that, might I suggest a 7.1 system. If you add a pair of FXi3's to the sides you will fill that room nicely.

Have you calibrated yet?

Welcome to the Polk forum/world Clayton, sounds like a great setup you got there. I echo amulford there... calibrate that puppy, the sound field will freak you out.

Thanks for all the intro's and comments. The room is 80% complete, so I'm not exactly sure how the sound is going to be just yet. Of course I couldn't leave all that cool stuff in those brown boxes... I had to have a little taste of what I was in for. Right now I am waiting on some wall brackets to hang the rears so I can only fool around with the sub/sat and center.

Pictures coming soon.
