Not sure if you have had a chance to read HT's december issue but there is a spread on a tube system for Ipods...
as well they have a write up about Polk's LC265i-IP

Just port your iPod through my PA sound system: Behringer EP1500 PowerAmp, Behringer B1520 PRO Eurolive Professional Loudspeakers. :D

Mine sounds fine through my Pioneer with the direct connect...

Although that thing was $1200..

to be honest I hate the sound of my ipod on my system...only good on the bus or walking the dog or yeah the gym

There are actually quite a few out there. If you do a Google search for iPod Tube Amps you'll pull up many results.

Here are just a few I found. Seems like many that I have looked at use the same chassis. Wonder whose building them all.

Get a Dynaco ST-70 ($400 +/-) and push it with your iPod. Pretty amazing synergy and sound quality.
