Just the Sammy. Price and availability. $200 instant rebate at BB...I couldn't resist....I'm so Effin' weak!:(

Yep, it sure was. $999 reg. - $200 instant rebate = $799 bones.

I'm hangin on to the PE DV-47a for SACD/DVD-A duties.

And Upcoverting abilites to I hope?

FYI, I hate to break it to you... but the sammy sucks at upconverting. Damn good blu-ray player though.

FYI, I hate to break it to you... but the sammy sucks at upconverting. Damn good blu-ray player though. Haven't played with upconverting yet so no opinion. I'm not too concerned about it. I'll be selling most if not all of my DVD's so upconverting isn't that big a deal.
