I don't know about all of you, but I always wake up at 2 am to stand in line at my local CC or BB (huh, never noticed the name alliteration before) the friday
after Thanksgiving. I've scored some serious deals in the past (especially movies) and more importantly I've always knocked off a good chunk of my Christmas shopping at the same time.

So far it looks like if you have a CC in your area, go to it instead of BB. Far better deals IMO. 32" Olevia LCD TV is on sale for $500 there, which is an excellent deal since Olevia has become a quality manufacturer, and I might stop by BB for the upconverting DVD player for $60 or whatever.

I also like the $100 Polk PSW10, good for video games and what not.

Some of the adverts have already been posted at bfads.net

Ah, no direct linking :(

Check out www.bfads.net for all the posted thus far adverts.

Getting good deals is dumb?

Went last year at 4 a.m and got some really good deals. This year I will be heading out earlier. It's fun

Yeah, I don't do that. But mostly because I"m not dumb.

Standing outside a store at 2AM for hours, when it's WINTERTIME, to save a few bucks is pretty much the definition of stupid. If you're just talking about going to a store that's open and not waiting in line, I withdraw the comment. My comfort and dignity are worth more than a few deals, though.

Talk about harsh. Just 'cause some people do extreme things to get deals, hardly puts them in the catagory of "Stupid."

I think it's dumb to call people dumb over their likes and desires.

Personally, I will never shop on the day after Turkey day. I hate lines :D

My dad always does it and since I'm usually at his place for Thanksgiving, I feel bad letting him go stand in line alone, so I end up outside of bestbuy at 5 am... Haven't gotten anything amazing recently, but it's not really about the deals for me.

Anyhow, getting in a fight, like what happens EVERY year at wallmart is stupid; just getting up to get some deals doesn't quite meet definition of stupid in my book.

BTW, that 32" LCD you could have gotten at target through yesterday for $540, so it's not a _great_ deal.

Oh another link- I like its format a little better:

Oh no! I hope I didn't offend anyone by mocking their "likes and desires"!

Pff. You obviously know how to use a computer; shop online. Save yourself time, and most likely a lot of money. And no waiting in lines at ungodly hours at a retailer's whim.

It's ok. Mocking is childish... so we understand.

I might have to snatch that LCD. Thats not too much change for a nice slim TV.

I will be likely heading to BB. BB has a 32" Westinghouse HDTV for $479 and a 19" Samsung LCD computer monitor for $129. No rebates
