Well soon we'll have all 3 systems available. I have 360 and don't plan on buying either the PS3 or Wii.
Can anyone tell me if PS3 or Wii are going to have any advantages over Xbox360? I don't see any. Now 360 can do 1080p and HD DVD, and it's got LIVE which is a HUUUUUGe advantage. Plus, no matter what any of you cynical bastards say, Halo 3 is going to be beyond amazing. Gears of War is another example of a 360 only title. I can't think of anything Playstation has that Xbox doesn't eventually get and I can live without Mario Party 4,758,649.2.
I'll get to test all three back to back pretty soon since I work at Best Buy, can't wait! But I also can't wait to point and laugh at the morons who wait in line all night and fight over consoles. But they're not as stupid as the eBay people who pay 100x retail.

to each his own...if people want to wait in line, that's their business..
I bet your managers aren't laughing at all the "morons" standing in line..All them "morons" will be shelling out close to $1k each

I think Nintendo's online library of older titles will be very interesting. I'm curious as to how well it will be implemented and accepted in the market.

Well, most of them will be making between $1000-$2000 on ebay. Not bad for a little standing around.
The PS3 will have HDMI 1.3 with all the blu-ray bells and whistles integrated into the system. Is it worth the extra price? *shrug* Who knows? But it will be the most versatile HD console player since the Wii doesn't do HD movies and the 360 is component via USB via an add-on.

If you already have a 360 wait a year and let the PS3 mature and develop a strong library.

Prices were high for the 360 pre-launch, and then they dropped post-launch. They're overinflated, and the vast majority of these people aren't going to see profits that large. They'll make some money for sure, but it isn't going to be $1000-$2000 (I don't know how you get a $2000 profit for a $600 system. NONE are selling for that much). How many do you think are really being sold at that price point for JUST the system? It isn't going to be a lot.
You have to take note of how many are bundles, which kind of throws the $2,000 figure off quite a bit.

That's what I did with the 360. Bought it in late March, IIRC.

PS3 had Metal Gear Solid, Wii has Zelda... 360 doesn't. So, all 3 for me!

The 360 acutally can do HDMI, it's not just component. I've read that HDMI isn't always better either. Somehting about decoding...

It has to do with analog to digital conversion process.

Apparently the PS3 does not support 1080i whatsoever. All of those with CRT tech TVs will have to use the system at 480p then the TV will convert it. That is some serious BS.

The PS3 supports 1080i... works fine with blu-ray, *most* games, etc.. the problem is that, right now, games that do not support 1080i (they only support 720p -- this is some games, not all) are down-converted to 480p rather than upconverted to 1080i. This IS a big problem for a lot of people, so hopefully Sony will fix it in a system update.
