Nintendo DS + Onkyo

I'd like to hook my Nintendo DS up to my Onkyo TX-SR304 amp. What gave me the idea is that one of my amp's input "assignments" is "Dolby Pro Logic II Game". The description for that setting is "Use this mode when playing games discs".

I know I would have to come out of my DS's stereo head phone jack with some cable that would plug into the RCA plugs in the back of my amp (duh). Would I connect it to the "CD" input? Because the output is digital (I assume)? I don't see any where in the manual about setting CD input to "Dolby game". I guess I'd hook my DS up somewhere else for this feature? Or do I have to hook it up somewhere else on my amp just to get analog sound out of my amp? Anything will be better than the small speakers the DS has.

First off, whatever is coming out of your headphone jack isn't going to be digital. What Dolbly Pro Logic is, to my best understanding, a remapping of a standard stereo signal to all the speakers of multiple speaker setup. As such, you will not find the sound direction aside from the normal left-right stereo signal. There is no requirement for the input to be digital or analog. Furthermore, you should be able to set *any* input to this mode. So, plug it in where ever you have room (exception being the phono, of course) and fiddle with the processor knob (or however you change your processor) and you should be good to go.

Thank you for your reply. Now I'm just wondering why that option is available on my amp. I guess one/some of the "non handheld" game machines support that feature if they use a DVD as the program (game) media.
