hey, I recently purchased a pair of MMC6500 and a Kicker ZX250.2 and I am installing them on a 2002 Tahoe and was wondering about different types of installs. If I were to do a normal install in the factory holes would I need an adapter bracket? and would the speaker magnets block the window from going down that far? The other option for me would be to install the speakers like the picture below. How would I do that? And would I be able to remove the fiberglass "box" or whatever so I could put the factory grill back in for a stock look? Also the second option wouldn't be for a pair of speakers it would on be for one speaker and one tweeter.

that install is fairly easy if you have a router. What they did, more than likely, was take a piece of MDF and it to shape. Then took a router and round off the edges. Placed the grills on there and bondoed and sanded to get it to look all like one piece.
If you'd like, I know someone who makes them, I can get into contact with him for you.
