Just found out my local CC will not carry the LSi line anytime soon........ Dammit. I have been eagerly anticipating a listening session and now it looks as if it will be awhile until I do.

grrrrrrrrrr......

CC isn't supposed to carry the LSi line at all from what I've heard.

Interesting, I recall hearing about the new LSi lines at CC. However, this CC was located somewhere in California I believe.

Interesting though, I wonder why the LSi line would not be sold in CC. From the reviews I read, it sounds as if they will be a great success...

Perhaps Polk is trying to correct their terrible decision to sell speakers in a mass market, low end, can't find anybody who knows anything,(much less find someone who can speak ENGLISH) **** hole of a store...Phew!!!
Perhaps they are returning to their roots, selling in real audio/video stores with a product worth having. I applaud Polk for that.
Support your local "HiFi" store, ask for Polk.

F1, Well I can see your bias already. ;)

Im attemping to understand the logic here. Despite the controversal quality of typical retail stores, how does this effect the product? In selling your product, exposure is generally the best thing. Polk has the sound to impress a typical audience... and their prices are along that of a typical consumers budget as well. Unless the mass-market move failed to produce a significant profit, I dont see it as a terrible decision.

Lets be hypothetical here: If Wilson Audio, Dynaudio, or B&W decided to sell their products at CC or any store of the like, this would automatically degrade their worth and performance?

Perhaps you are willing to travel great distances to demo expensive equipment, or fortunate enough to have stores in your local area to provide you with this experience. Fact is of course, many of us are not as blessed.

It's not so much that selling "speakers" at a store like CC degrades the worth and performance as much as they lack the advantages of a true audio/video store. As for the lack of those stores in alot of areas....well, if there were no chain stores maybe the smaller ones would return. I understand that's not going to happen, but it's just another sad comment on the values in todays society. I guess I'm spoiled around here, there has to be 7 to 10 small hifi stores within 30 miles of me.

I wish this was Road Atlanta. They have managed to put a 1.7 mile track on what use to be a very large parking lot at the old Redskins stadium. Tight, narrow track...could be interesting.

No you're right, CC won't be carrying the LSi's anytime soon.

Nor were they ever going to, someone was off when they informed you they would.

Yes, I agree with what F1nut is saying, that many CC employees have no idea what they're talking about, and it would be a waste to try to put polk's flagship speakers in their hands.

Another thing is, CC is such a huge chain, that it's impossible for them to sell anything that isn't mass marketed. By nature of CC being stocked, the product must come out in huge quantities.

So I don't think selling the speaker at CC degrades the quality, but in order to sell it, it must be mass produced, and THAT degrades the quality.

That's just an inside opinion from me.

I as another CC employee confirm and agree fully with guitarhead.

PS: Guitarhead has your store received the new 56" I'Art's yet? if so how are they? Also I am wanting the 47" Panasonic. How is it?
