NEED HELP!!!Hum noise from front and rear speakers

:confused: I have Denon AVR3805 and hooked it up with Polkaudio speakers (Monitor 60, monitor 30, CSi1 and PSW12). I just noticed the hum noise coming out from speakers, especially the front and rear speakers. I turn off all other units but the hum noise is still there with AVR3805 on. The hum sound can be heard when I turn on the AVR3805 and turn the volume all the way down to 0. Any suggestion to get rid of this hum noise.:confused:

Are you in the US?

if you have a grounding plug, Try putting a ground Isolation plug on the AVR.

What is it all connected to?My first guess is the sub....try a cheater plug and go directly to the wall outlet.Give us a better overview of how your gear is wired and we can better help you.Power conditioner? Cable box?

One suggestion I was given was to disconnect your cable TV wire. It does indeed give off a hum in some systems. Is this a new problem, or new equipment? Fluorescent lights, wireless phone, and electric motors can do the same thing.

Now I am in Thailand with 220 Volt, 50Hz. The power line here doesn't have a seperate ground. I have tried to seperate the power cords from the speaker cables but that didn't help. I have changed the male plug to Hubbell and changed female plug to Wattgate. I have done that because I thought it was the power cord that gave me this hum noise but that didn;t solve the problem. Now my AVR3805 doesn't connect to any other unit becasue I want to isolate the receiver. Yes, the noise is still there!!!! Any idea how can I ground the AVR3805??

I had a hum into all my speakers when I connected the cable line directly to the Digital Cable box, because technician told me to connect it directly. When the tech left I connected the cable to my Monster Power bar 2100 and then out to my box, BINGO:cool: hum gone!
