Not familiar with the one on the left but I love that slit paper Scan Speak driver on the right.

Hey Zero -

Never realized your handle refered to the Mitsubishi. I'm an F4U Corsair fan myself.

Looking forward to the finalized article.

Cheers!

Huh... for some reason I was operating under the delusion that it was The Smashing Pumpkins who were responsible for his moniker.

Sean, I have to agree with Russ. Excellent writing. And certainly an interesting and welcome approach to the convential "shoot-out".

btw I caught my wife at the mailbox this morning with a bunch of pics;)

My humble thanks for the comments and actually taking the time to skim through the preliminary Russ, Early and Mick.

Bert - I am a Chance-Vaught fan as well, the F4U being my favorite piston driven aircraft... period! Still, I have a small soft spot for the Mitsu. Plus, "Zero" is just flat out cooler! But at the day, I would rather fly the "ensign eleminator".

Jason,

Those are just 6x9's... Before you get concerned... she was wearing a santa hat. Speaking of which; if you see a long envelope arrive later this week postmarked from VA - don't ask questions, just give it to her. I didn't get you anything this year.. those Shamans were enough.

For crying out loud.... I beg and plead for her to bust out the Santa cap. I guess she only uses it for special occasions and special people.

Me? I'm a nobody. A loser. A zero... oh wait, maybe then I could get some some hot North Pole action.

I hate you both.
May your Rothschilde A2's suffer a thousand deaths, a thousand curses.

A pox on you says I verily.

Geez... the whole time I thought you were Mega Man's buddy... Zero!

Geez.... this revelation takes away a lot of that mystique I had for you, Sean!

Great job Sean.

On a side note: a friend of mine is going to have a book published in the near future in regards to Japanese pilots of WW II. He spent quite a bit of time over there doing research and his deadline is Dec. 31. I'll pass on the info if you or anyone else is interested.

Joey - Hey Princess... what did I tell you earlier? In case you forgot, let me remind you; No talking until I give you the OK... and by the OK, I mean when I am not within visual nor within ear-shot of your voice! And yes - the computer counts as visual. Now can ya do that for me? :p

Steve - If you have the opportunity to do so again - do it. You'll thank me later!

Halo - Thanks for posting the information! I'd be very interested to read his project. When I was 10 years old, I could remember at least a dozen or so Imperial Navy and Army Airforce aces. Now the only aces can come up with on the top of my head is Tetsuzo Iwamoto, Hiroyoshi Nishizawa, and Saburo Sakai
