Hey guys,
I have one MRV-T757 and two momo 12's. What would be the best way to wire them up? Would I be better off getting a second amp to drive each sub or should i just run them off one channel each? Is that amp capable of driving a 2 ohm mono bridged load? Let me know what you think
TIA
Derek,
If you can install a dedicated amp to each sub, then this will give you the best possible performance. If your goal is sound quality, then I think that you will prefer the sound of the amp bridged driving a 4 Ohm load compared to driving a 2 Ohm load. Plus this is a easier load for the amp to drive and it will not run cooler. We have used this type of configuration in our demo vehicles and were very pleased with the end results. They are still on the road poundin' away.
Thanks,
Kim

OK
Do you know of anywhere besides ebay that I could still pick up another 757?? or am I outta luck on getting matching amps.
Out of the current alpine line, is there an amp that you would recommend to match the 757 in specs so that I would be getting equal power to each sub?
