Is the R500 in the works?

Is there a R500 in the works to replace the R50? I know the R150 and R300 replaced the R15 and R30. The newer models seem identical except they have rear firing bass ports. Would a R500 have a rear firing port as well? Do rear firing ports make for better sound?
