As some individuals here may already know, for the past 3 weeks or so I have been on a quest to upgrade some components of my audio system.
Every company ordered from *weleletronics and Q-audio* has been extermely prompt with both shipping and answering any questions I had, and provided an over-all smooth transaction. Defintely two companies that have my business in the future.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for SoundCity owned "Audio Video Shopper". The automated reply seemed to be late in comparison with the other companies *I ordered everything the same day, and all within an hour*. A few days after the order was placed I recieved an E-mails stating the product was to be shipped within 24 hours. I attempt to track the pre-amp a week later to see its status, and the form just kept coming up blank.
2 weeks later, nothing has showed up. So I attempt to contact the E-mail address provided in the online invoice, it ends up getting returned *addy does not exist*. So I then choose the customer service address, it went through fine, but Ive yet to recieve any reply.
So I wait a few days, I understand how things can pile up and it takes awhile to get back to customers. After around 5 days I figure it would be best to just call. So I do, end up reaching some man who sounds as if he hates his job, mumbles something after I described the problem and Im soon being transfered. Of course, I recieve an answer machine...so I leave my message. Well its been a few days aftewards and I have recieved no reply via: E-mail OR by phone.
Just yesterday I contacted my bank to see if the grand total was charged on my account or not, turns out *from what the woman said* it wasnt. Hmmmm That explains why it was not shipped, heh, but if there was a problem you would at least think the company would contact the customer about it..........
Perhaps I am just one of the few who experience horrible service with an otherwise decent company. But I feel that its worth spreading the gospel around if you indeed consider placing an order through audiovideoshopper, just be prepared for possible trouble.
