I know it all depends on how they sound when I get them but I needed 3 for my Sunfire Classic Tube Pre- so I went for it. I'll let everyone know how they sound when I get them.

Holy Mary and Joseph. I put these in and put the Fleetwood Mac Rumours cd in and immediately could tell a world of difference. I could have sworn it was vinyl playing instead of a cd. Airy, open and very laid back. It sounded like a modern day victrola hooked up to a pair of Polks. I can definitely see why the old-timers like these tubes. It's kind of a very nice step back in time. I wanna crank it but I'm lacking enough power to do so a with a 75 wpc tube amp driving the 2.3's and cranking it might ruin the effect.

You mothers owe me another 73 bucks :D Actually this one might turn out to be priceless.

Oh wait BB King Reflections SACD is on now and has plenty of volume. The newer cd's have more oomph than one from 1977.
